The history of Sochi Heliski

In the industry since 2007

January 2007
Three future founders of SOCHI Heliski: Alexander Mavrin, Vladimir Silinsky and Maxim Anufrikov start working for the French heli ski operator Yak&Yety, Krasnaya Polyana, Sochi.
After that, there were 7 years of practice in different companies and in different mountain systems: the Caucasus, Kamchatka, Siberia, Norway, the Alps, South and North America, Japan, New Zealand, studying and passing exams at the School of Mountain Guides of Russia.
Creation of the SOCHI Heliski company
September 2014
The first group of SOCHI Heliski in Kamchatka. The programs become annual.
March 2016
The beginning of flights in the home region — Krasnaya Polyana.
January 2015
January 2017
We are starting work in the mountains of Abkhazia. This is an interesting mountainous area, which we are essentially rediscovering.
December 2018
The first group of SOCHI Heliski in the south of Lake Baikal is the Hamar-Daban ridge. The program becomes annual.
November 2019
We are starting the first regular flights in Kuznetsk Alatau. Our new base is starting to work near Mezhdurechensk.
December 2020
Together with Baikal Heliski, we are becoming the operator of heli ski on Lake Baikal.
March 2021
The first ever heli ski in the North of Lake Baikal. A huge and diverse mountain area in which we plan to spend time further.
We plan to continue to open new ski areas in Russia and the world. After the restrictions are lifted, we are waiting for heli-ski trips to Chile, Iceland, India, New Zealand and other countries.
